Required for anyone born on or after May 1, 1996 to operate a motorboat in New York. One classroom day — certificate issued on completion.

Our NY State approved 8-hour course covers everything required by Brianna's Law. Pass the in-class exam and you'll receive a temporary certificate the same day — the permanent NY State Safe Boating Certificate is mailed to you.

- Safe handling, anchoring, and docking
- Emergencies, accidents, and rescue procedures
- Weather, water conditions, and trip planning
- Personal watercraft (PWC) and water-sport safety
Who needs this course?
Under New York's Brianna's Law (2020), all motorboat operators must complete an approved safe-boating course. As of 2025, the requirement applies to everyone regardless of age — completion is a one-time, lifetime requirement.
